Tampa, FL, October 1, 2014: As part of its continuing effort to insure its own compliance with healthcare laws and provide quality products to providers’ patients at competitive prices, STYMCO has arranged for outside auditors to review its records practices and procedures during the last week of October of this year.

The audit will be conducting by a national provider of internal audit and medical record review consulting services: Sunera,LLC. (See, HEALTHCARE.sunera.com). Sunera will be reviewing files and billing practices including coding and will conduct a general site visit as well. This audit will be done in lieu of the quarterly internal audit STYMCO was scheduled to do at this time. (STYMCO randomly self-audits as part of its compliance program with internal reviews at least every four months).

While STYMCO expects to do well, the results of the audit will be used to make any necessary corrections in practices and procedures and to improve coding and billing practices as STYMCO continues to strive to be the best retail DME provider in the country.
